Rajkumari Devi, popularly known as Kisan Chachi, who started her journey from Saraiya block of Muzaffarpur, was also honored with Padma Shri by the government for her works.
The 'Kisan Chachi' had to face a lot of social and family obstacles to travel this journey, where even distant relatives left her alone for a while. But he didn't give up. Against the social bondage, she decided to cultivate her land, and despite the opposition of all the people of the society and family, she continued to move forward.

Kisan Chachi, who has a good understanding of advanced technology and soil quality, has today become another name for successful farming and an example of women empowerment. With age marks on her face, but a stick of courage in her hand and the spirit of doing something new in her heart, when she looks back today, she sees the smiling faces of thousands of successful farmers and self-sufficient women.
He not only engaged hundreds of women in farming, but also gave them information on how to make farming profitable. Seeing the achievements of the princess, the Bihar government honored her with the 'Kisan Shri' award in 2006 and provided an amount of one lakh rupees. She is a member of advisory committee of Saraiya Krishi Vigyan Kendra and National Food Security Mission. Kisan Chachi has received dozens of awards so far. A documentary has also been made on them by the Agriculture Department of the Central Government. From here she got the name 'Kisan Chachi'. She was invited to Vibrant Gujarat-2013 and on the initiative of the then Chief Minister Narendra Modi, her food processing model was put up on the government website. Farmer's aunt was born in the house of a teacher's father. At that time, marriage was done at a young age, so in 1974, as soon as he passed his matriculation, he was married to Awadhesh Kumar Chaudhary in a farmer family. After marriage, she started living with her family in Anandpur-Saraiya village. The princess wanted to become a teacher, in 1980 she also took training for it, but due to the opposition of the family and society, she could not do the job. The princess, who had stepped outside the threshold of the house due to nine years of marriage and unemployment of her husband, was ostracized from the family and society.
She says that she got married at the age of about 15. The teacher was raised with love by the father, but the situation was just the opposite in the in-laws' house. Until we understood something, the family separated us. It was not possible to run a family from land alone. When the daughter was born in 1983, the taunts still met. In 1990, Chaudhary's four brothers were divided and we got only two and a half bighas of land. There was a tradition of cultivation of tobacco in the family, breaking which he decided to do something new in the condition of financial crisis.
In the year 1990, while cultivating in a traditional way, he improved his farming by adopting scientific method. After that he started making pickles. From the year 2000, he started making pickles from home, which today is famous in the whole country by the name of Kisan Chachi Ki Achar.
After standing up, he extended a helping hand to other women and prepared them to be able to stand on their own feet. In the initial phase, he started selling the pickles of mango, bael, lemon and amla etc. in the market by joining with the nearby women. After this, gradually the number of women in the group increased and their area continued to increase. Till now she has formed 40 Self Help Groups.
He has also been honored many times by social organizations, state and central government for his initiative and contribution in this field. In the year 2019, he also received the Padma Shri award. Padmashree Rajkumari Devi (Farmer Aunt) said, “Started farming in the year 1990, then training in the block from the year 2000, we saw that it would be better to make pickles with less money, so we took training for making pickles. After this, 160 women were connected by forming 'Jyoti Jeevika' self-help groups and women started getting work at home.
She says that now she makes more than 20 varieties of pickles, which are supplied to Delhi's Pragati Maidan, Patna Khadi Mall, Viscoman Cooperative Department. At the same time, their ethics have also been seen in the local market and many exhibitions. The farmer's aunt said, "Women would be told that no work is small and doing better in it becomes big one day."
The princess took along women like her who were poor but wanted to do something. He taught them how to cultivate and make pickles at his home. Over time his business of pickles and other food products grew. Even today 10 women are earning money by working regularly at his house.
The rural women working in their group told that earlier they used to live in the house and today they are earning money by joining them. Earlier they were at home, did not leave the house. When he came out, he got work here, after which Morabba started making pickles, which started earning income. At the same time, another woman told that there is good income while working from home. It is not necessary that one will get work if he goes out and he definitely gets work here.
According to the princess, women were only seen working in the fields, they had no knowledge of agricultural techniques and they worked according to the instructions of the men. He thought that when we women do labor in the field, then why not adopt better farming techniques. Due to Kisan Chachi, the lives of innumerable women changed.
In the early days, when she used to go out of the village on a bicycle, people would whisper amongst themselves and call her a lunatic. She was already facing disdain for not having children for many years of marriage, started farming on it. Family and society ostracized him, but his steps did not stop. Along with farming, he started making small farm products. Picked up cycles and started selling them in fairs-markets and door-to-door. The society, which did not ask when hungry, became even more strict on this method of earning two rotis. Husband is also angry. Awadhesh Chaudhary said that he did not like to sell goods by bicycle.
Today the situation has changed a lot. Apart from the village, people from the district and outside also call him to learn the tricks of farming. His product received an award in the 2003 Kisan Mela. In January 2010, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar invited him during his stay in Vaishali and described him as a 'role model' and said that a woman like her is bringing awareness in the society. On March 14, 2010, when Nitish came to inaugurate the organic fertilizer project in Saraiya block, he visited the princess's house and took stock of her products and organic farming. Seeing the hock, lychee, plum, lemon, mango, garlic, cabbage and carrot curry, hock vermicelli, potato chips, rose syrup, orange syrup, papaya jam and gooseberry jam at the farmer's aunt, he praised her efforts.
