A video is going viral on social media. This video is winning the hearts of people. In today's era, where sons evict their parents from the house, considering parents as a burden. The example set by these sons in those days is amazing.
Even today, whenever an example of an ideal son is to be given, everyone gives the example of Shravan Kumar, who served his parents till his last breath. But in Kalyug, Shravan Kumar is rarely found even after searching, because when the son becomes young, his own parents start feeling like a burden. In such a situation, at least leave the sense of service. But in some cases sons are still seen serving their parents. This picture from Kerala is one of them.
This video is from Kerala. Actually, the mother had a dream to see the rare Neelakurinji flower. What was it then that the son united the sky and the earth to fulfill his mother's dreams. The two sons carried their elderly mother on their shoulders and climbed a steep hill to have a glimpse of Neelakurinji, a rare flower in the Western Ghats that blooms only once in twelve years.
Elikutty Paul, 87, from Muttuchira in Kottayam district, told one of her sons that she wanted to see the rare flowers that were in bloom in neighboring Idukki district. But his body had responded. She was unable to walk. Without thinking anything, his sons Rojan and Sathyan took him in a jeep and traveled about 100 kilometers to Kalipara hills near Munnar.
But only after reaching there, the family came to know that there is no road leading to the top of the hill. But not wanting to give up on their mother's dream, the two sons then carried their elderly mother on their shoulders and climbed about 1.5 km to the top of the hill.
Neelakurinji (Strobilanthes kunthiana) is a rare flower found in the Western Ghats and blooms only once in twelve years in a particular area. The most famous Neelakurinji blooming spot is Munnar hill station in Idukki district. The next Neelakurinji blooming in Munnar will happen only in 2030. But if you don't want to wait until 2030 to witness this rare phenomenon, don't worry. Since 2018, Neelakurinji has blossomed in Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu, Kodagu in Karnataka and Poopara in Kerala. This year Neelakurinji has blossomed in Chikmagalur in Karnataka and Kalipara in Kerala.
