Prabhas is an Indian film actor who predominantly appears in Tollywood films. He has won the hearts of the audience with his strong performance in the Bahubali film series. Prabhas has also won many awards showcasing his acting ability. He has also become the highest paid actor of Tollywood. He is the first South Indian actor to have a wax statue installed at Madame Tussauds in Bangkok.
Prabhas, whose full name is Venkata Satyanarayana Prabhas Raju Uppalapati, was born to filmmaker U.K. Suryanarayana Raju was born on 23 October 1979 in the house of Uppalapati and his wife Shiv Kumari. He is the youngest of the three children, an elder brother Pramod Uppalapati and sister Pragati. Prabhas's family is from Moglaturu village in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. His uncle is Telugu actor Krishnam Raju Uppalapati. Prabhas is a graduate with B.Tech from DNR School, Bhimavaram and holds a degree from Sri Chaitanya College, Hyderabad. However Prabhas is an engineer and never wanted to get into the acting field. He wanted to become a business man, but with time he came into this field.
Start of film career -
Prabhas started his film career with the 2002 Telugu film 'Eshwar', in which his character's name was also Ishwar. Then came his film Raghavendra in 2003. Then in 2004 he had two films Varsam in which his character's name was Venkat and the second film was Advani in which Prabhas's character was named Ramudu. In this way, the caravan of acting in his films continued.
In 2005 he did S. s. He acted in the film Chhatarpathy directed by Rajamouli, in which he played the role of a refugee. He later acted in 'Paurnami', 'Yogi' and 'Munna', an action drama film in 2007, followed by the action comedy 'Bujjigadu' in 2008.
In 2010 he appeared in the romantic comedy 'Darling' and in 2011, 'Mr. Perfect'. In 2012, Prabhas starred in "Rebel", an "action" film directed by Raghava Lawrence, his next film was Mirchi.
In 2015 he joined the S.S. Sivadu / Mahendra appeared as Bahubali and Amarendra Bahubali in Rajamouli's epic Bahubali: The Beginning. The film Bharat Bhar Kya became the third highest grossing film worldwide and the film has received critical and commercial acclaim worldwide.
The sequel to Bahubali: The Beginning, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion released on 28 April 2017 and is still loved worldwide. This film has earned record breaking. In 2019, his film Saaho came, which was fine in earnings.

Prabhas has won several awards showcasing his acting prowess, in which he won the Santosham Film Award in 2004, the same year he also received the Filmfare Award for South films.
