The 68th National Film Awards were announced on Friday. In which Ajay Devgan and Kajol's film 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' has received three awards. Kajol congratulated her by sharing an old picture with husband Ajay Devgn from the sets of 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior'. In this film, Kajol played the character of Tanaji's wife Savitribai Malusare. The film was a big hit at the box office.
Sharing the photo on Twitter, Kajol wrote, "Team Tanhaji has won three National Awards. Very happy and proud. Best Film, Best Actor for Ajay Devgan and Best Costume for Nachiket Barve. This morning Kajol shared this post on her official Twitter. Interestingly, this is Ajay Devgn's third National Award. He has previously received National Awards for the films 'Zakham' (1998) and 'The Legend of Bhagat Singh' (2002).
Reacting to Kajol's well wishes, Ajay wrote, "Congratulations to you too. Your presence in the film took it to new heights." Meanwhile, issuing a statement after winning the National Award, Ajay said, "Along with Surai Pottaru actor Suriya, I have also received the Best Actor award at the 68th National Awards for 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior'. I would like to thank everyone, especially my creative team, audience and my fans. Grateful for the blessings of my parents and God. Congratulations to all the winners."
Apart from Ajay and Kajol, Saif Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi and Sharad Kelkar were also in important roles in 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior', directed by Om Raut. The film was one of the most successful films released in 2020. The film made a new record at the box office.
