We are talking about a BTech student named Madhur Rakheja of Ambala Cantonment, Haryana, who has got a package of Rs 50 lakh in a company like Microsoft. By accepting this offer, he made the hard work of his parents successful.
According to a report in India Today, Madhur Rakheja, who turned down lucrative offers from companies like Amazon, Cognizant, and Optum, completed his BTech in Computer Science Engineering with a specialty of Oil and Gas Informatics from UPES School of Computer Science.

In an interview, Rakheja said, "I have always been interested in technology and I believe that it has the potential to change and impact the lives of millions of people across the globe. I always wanted to be a part of this technology. " He told that someone had suggested him to go for upstream petroleum engineering, but he was not sure about a career in it. However, he was sure that he wanted to study computer science.
He further said, "I had a list of companies in my mind where I wanted to be selected. Microsoft was on that list. I prepared for the selection process by reading about other people's interview experiences and learning the necessary skills. I was appointed by Campus Placement.
Offers were also received from other big companies
Madhur had applied for companies like Amazon, DE Shaw, Optum, Cognizant, Infosys during campus placements. He told that 'out of these he got full-time offers from Microsoft, Optum and Cognizant and internship offers from Amazon as part of campus placements. Based on my performance in the internship, I have also got a full-time offer for the role of SDE at Amazon.
He further added that “Microroost offers a great salary package salary and good stock options. Along with this, the working hours in Microsoft are flexible. There, the work culture is quite good. The work that the engineers do there is very effective. The company takes great care of its employees. Madhur will soon join Microsoft's office in Bengaluru.
