Olympic golden boy javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has rocked the ongoing World Athletics Championships in Eugene, USA. He has qualified for the first time in the finals of this championship. Under which Neeraj secured a place in the final of the men's event by throwing a javelin 88.39 meters away in his very first attempt.

Apart from Neeraj, Rohit Yadav of India has also made it to the final. Rohit covered a distance of 80.42 metres. The final match of this competition will be held on Sunday. India's Annu Rani has already made it to the finals of the women's category. Let me tell you, a total of 12 players including Neeraj and Rohit have made it to the finals of Javelin Throw.

Apart from 24-year-old Neeraj, 34 other athletes participated in this competition. Everyone was placed in two groups. Neeraj was in the first group and Rohit was placed in group B. Neeraj made the third best throw of his career and made it to the final.

Neeraj Chopra has had a stellar run this season, which continues till now.

The star player has improved to his personal best twice. He threw 89.30m at the Pavo Nurmi Games in Finland on June 14 and 89.94m at the prestigious Stockholm Diamond League event on June 30, missing out on a distance of 90m by just six centimeters.

India's Annu Rani has already reached the finals of the women's category. He has made it to the final of the World Championships in Javelin Throw for the second time in a row. In the qualifying round, Annu had a modest start and was on the verge of being out of the competition, but she covered 59.60m in her last attempt to make it to the final. 29-year-old Annu's best score this season is 63.82 meters
